The Emmy Awards

The Emmy Awards are an annual ceremony that are in honor of the television industry. The awards are given by three organizations that join efforts to offer a spectacular show each year – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Winning an Emmy is a very prestigious award, showing your abilities clearly stand above those in the same arena of television. There are over 12,000 members of the Academy and each one gets to place their vote to help determine the winners in each category. Once the nominees are announced for the Emmy Awards the buzz and the hype begins. You will start seeing the nominees on various interviews and in the spotlight to promote them and their career.

Of course part of the entertainment of the evening of the Emmy Awards is the red carpet show featuring all the television stars in beautiful gowns and amazing suits. The best designers in the world via to have the men and women walking the red carpet wearing their creations. There are also wonderful statements made with jewelry and hairstyles.

The Emmy Awards always feature great entertainment as well to keep the momentum of the evening flowing. There are well written acceptance speeches as well as those who are so amazed at winning that they can’t get the words out to thank those who have helped make it possible. It is the chance to see your favorite television stars in a new element with no rehearsal or practiced lines.

After the show, there is always plenty of great interviews with both the nominees and the winners. There is also the critiquing of the outfits worn. You can be sure some will be considered classy, others gorgeous, and we will wonder what a few of them were thinking in the outrageous selection they made for the award show.

Millions of people turn into the Emmy Awards each year to take a peek at the nominees, the clothing, the winners, and the hype that surrounds the entire process of the Emmy Awards. To keep these viewers coming back for more, each year the show becomes more creative so that viewers will be on the edge of their seat with anticipation for the annual event.
